Skin Cancer Clinic

DON’T RISK IT! Skin cancer is by far the most common cancer in Australia and the one most people will develop in their lifetime. 81% of all cancers diagnosed per year are skin cancer.

The golden rule for any skin lesion that does not clear up is to get medical advice on it even if it has none of the clinical features of any skin cancer. Even Melanomas can have little or no pigment in them and can be mistaken for any other lesion.

It is important to get the right advice about your skin and to have a regular, at least yearly, skin check to rule out any skin cancer. Our experienced Doctors offer non-invasive full body cancer checks and mole scanning with a variety of treatments to suit your condition.

Research shows that 81% of all diagnosed Cancers are Skin Cancer, making it by far the most common Cancer in Australia and the one most people will develop in their lifetime.

Don’t worry what other people are doing - YOU must take responsibility for YOUR skin.
Always avoid being in the sun around midday – look for shade wherever you can. Cover your skin to reduce exposure to UV rays. Wear a wide brimmed hat, use good quality sun screen and protect your eyes by wearing sunglasses. Don’t forget your lips, ears, neck and feet need sunscreen too! Prevention is always better than cure and it is important to have your skin protected from the sun. This will limit the incidence of skin cancer but also help to preserve your skin and keep you looking younger. Remember SLIP, SLOP, SLAP!
